Elementary School Teacher (Grades 1 – 7)
Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire young minds, foster a love of learning, and help students achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum guidelines and school standards.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the emotional and educational needs of all students.
- Teach, assess and monitor students’ progress, providing feedback and support to ensure academic growth.
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school administration.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and attendance.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support school initiatives and enhance the overall educational experience.
- Address and support individual student needs through differentiated instruction and personalized learning plans.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Proficient in using educational technology and resources.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (STEM background preferred)
- Valid teaching certification for the province of Ontario is preferred.
- Previous experience teaching at the elementary level is preferred.
- A clear criminal background check and vulnerable sector screening.
